DAN FRESHMAN
Dan joins the Lax United writing staff as its youngest member. Freshman, an incoming member of the class of 2012 at Cornell University, has already garnered vast experience writing and covering the sport of lacrosse.
Freshman serves as the Managing Editor for LaxNation.com and has been a member of its staff since 2005. He is also a correspondent for LaxPower.com. A Newton, MA resident, Freshman has received numerous journalism awards. In the spring of 2007 Freshman was the Quill and Scroll National Winner for journalism and in the fall of that year he was the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) superior winner for sports writing, the group’s highest honor. Freshman is a three-time New England Scholastic Press Association (NESPA) highest achievement winner.
Dan has played lacrosse at the youth, middle school, high school and club levels. He is a coordinator and counselor at Game Breaker Lacrosse Camp and also serves as a counselor at Garden City Lacrosse Camp.
